Lewisham Live is a festival of music and dance from the children and young people of Lewisham, which is brought together by a group of local partner organisations each year in March.

From its roots in one-off arts performances, the festival has grown year on year to become one of the most important events on the Lewisham youth calendar, with over 2000 young people annually performing to an audience of close to 4000.

GLYPT (Greenwich & Lewisham Young People’s Theatre) are offering 3x artist residencies at The Tramshed in Woolwich between Jan and March 2018 for companies and artists aged 18-29.

A new briefing published jointly today by the Cultural Learning Alliance and Nesta sets out the need to shift the policy focus on STEM subjects (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) by adding the A of arts – turning STEM into STEAM.

With the number of people working in the creative industries growing at four times the rate of the UK workforce as a whole, there is a clear demand in the job market and an obvious economic imperative.

The Cockayne - Grants for the Arts fund aims to support art as a way of enriching life experience. Grants are focused on arts projects in London that provide opportunities to artists from diverse cultures for the creation,  development, performance, or exhibition in the performing, literary, or visual arts.

Average grant size will range from £1,000 to £25,000, with a few exceptional projects being considered at a higher level. No income threshold.
